Master the art of financial modeling through hands-on learning with Australia's most practical curriculum designed for real-world application
Apply for Autumn 2025Too many programs teach theory that crumbles when you face real business problems. Our curriculum starts with messy, real-world scenarios from day one. You'll work with actual company data, broken spreadsheets, and tight deadlines — because that's what you'll encounter in your career.
Every model you build here will be something you can show to potential employers. We focus on creating portfolio pieces that demonstrate not just technical skill, but business understanding and clear communication.
Our instructors didn't just study finance — they lived it. Each brings years of frontline experience from investment banking, corporate finance, and consulting.
Lead Financial Modeling Instructor
Spent eight years at Macquarie Bank building acquisition models before consulting for mining companies across Queensland. Saskia has a gift for breaking down complex valuation concepts into digestible steps. Her students often say she makes the impossible seem straightforward.
Corporate Finance Specialist
Former CFO at three ASX-listed companies, Imogen knows what executives actually want to see in financial presentations. She'll teach you not just how to build models, but how to present them in ways that get approved and funded. Her approach is refreshingly practical.
Weeks 1-4
Start with Excel mastery and financial statement analysis. We'll rebuild your spreadsheet skills from the ground up, focusing on techniques that prevent errors and save hours of work. You'll analyze real company financials and spot the red flags analysts look for.
Weeks 5-12
Build your first complete DCF model using a live ASX company. Learn to integrate historical performance with forward projections, handle seasonality, and model different business scenarios. This phase culminates in a presentation to practicing analysts who provide real feedback.
Weeks 13-20
Tackle merger models, LBO analysis, and sector-specific challenges. Work in teams to solve case studies based on actual deals. Integrate Python for data processing and learn to automate routine tasks that bog down junior analysts.
Weeks 21-24
Complete a capstone project analyzing an industry of your choice. Create presentation materials that showcase your analytical process and communication skills. Polish three models for your portfolio and practice explaining your methodology in mock interviews.
Our program runs once per year to ensure each cohort gets maximum attention. The upcoming intake begins March 2025 and runs through August. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and we typically fill our 20 spots by January.
